Originally from Texas, Allison began with an Associate in Arts degree in Fine Arts from Tyler Junior College and a BFA in Drama - Performance from the University of Oklahoma. Allison worked with Missoula Children’s Theatre as a Tour Actor/Director.  Equipped with a truck loaded with the set, lighting, costumes and props, she would drive across the country bringing theater to communities for 40 weeks a year.

She performed with and directed 60 kids, ages 5-18 every week. When the shows concluded, she moved on to the next town to begin again with a new cast of kids.

Allison completed over 350 residencies with schools, military organizations and performing arts centers all over the world. She had the pleasure of directing children on Air Force Bases in TURKEY, GERMANY, PORTUGAL, ITALY, SPAIN and HAWAII.  She co-directed the first Spanish-production in Álamos, Mexico and the first Acting Out at Sea production on the ms Zuiderdam cruise ship.

Shortly after coming off the road, Allison received an MFA in Directing from Ohio University under the mentorship of Dennis Delaney— studying among acclaimed artists Devin Brain and Meg Miroshnick on The Sonnet Project; Maria Aiken, Michael Legg, and Ian Belknap.  She also had the privilege of assisting directors Robert Barry Fleming on his production of Caroline, or Change at Tantrum Theater and Margot Bordelon on Do You Feel Anger? during the 42nd Humana Festival of New American Plays at Actors Theatre of Louisville.

Since moving to Atlanta, Allison  has worked with the Essential Theatre Festival, CenterStage North, Act 3 Productions and Live Arts Theatre.  She is married to actor Brian Epperson
